Meet Our Team
Starlita Kilpatrick is the creator of, The Mama Connect: All Things Mommyhood, where she aims to educate, inspire, encourage, and support melanated moms throughout their motherhood journey.
She also wears the hats of being a Certified Babywearing Consultant, Birth, and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Educator, and Baby Sign Language Instructor serving the Greater Philadelphia Area and Virtually.
Starlita is also the creator of “Homeschooling While Black” on the Clubhouse app. She is a proud Afro-Filipina & Postpartum Preeclampsia Survivor who resides in South Jersey with her husband Brian and three children, Kory (8), Gabrielle (5), and Zara (3).
Aimbriel Lasley, MA, IBCLC
Ambriel is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has a Master’s degree in Health and Wellness Counseling.
She is a wife and mother of four amazing kids! She has been homeschooling her three boys, ages 10, 8,8 (yes, twins!) for four years.
Aimbriel loves to learn and finds unique and creative ways to help her boys cultivate a love for learning, every day. Aimbriel loves to travel, cook, eat plant-based food, exercise, and learn.
Tannya Smothers-Morris is currently a homeschooling mom with two students who have recently completed their high school journey.
She has two sets of twins; fraternal girls and a fraternal boy and girl. Writing has always been a passion for Tannya and led to a full scholarship to college. Attending the University of Delaware, she majored in English, with a minor in Communications.
Over the years, she has been involved with the local Head Start by helping teach, train, and enrich the parents and staff through their learning of government mandates of the program.
There are various works of writing completed under a pseudonym, and she is looking forward to soon publishing a memoir of life with rambunctious twins. The sky’s the limit that begins with you!
Tiffany Joyner is a native of Brooklyn, New York but has made the Philadelphia area her home for the time being.
She has worked as an educator for the past 15 years as a teacher, adjunct professor, and currently a Family Coach for a cyber charter school that services the entire state of Pennsylvania.
She is also the founder of Write Away, an organization committed to promoting literacy-based programming in various communities. Reading and Writing seminars have become the primary component utilized to empower children and families.
“Furry Mouse” is her first children’s picture book that addresses a fear of mice but does so in a humorous fashion. It also encourages children to find solutions in dealing with their fears and other challenges in life.
Christal is a resident of Madison, Alabama but considers herself a Global Citizen. With a professional background in Fine Art and Business, she left it behind to start a new, even more, rewarding job as a Mama.
She considers it a rewarding hobby to talk about art, books, languages, and learning at home.
Jimia has been a financial educator since 2013, obtaining her first financial counselor certification in 2016. Known as the Girl with the Penny Book, Jimia spreads financial literacy to children by writing books with lessons they can understand on their level.
Her first book, Pennies for Piggy was released in May of 2020. Teens and adults have access to financial education and coaching from Provision, where she is the owner and CEO. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor ®, foster mom, lover of dance and food, living in Central VA.
Homeschool Tips & Mathematics
Kamika Raby is the founder of Imagodei Academy, a non-profit education homeschool program supporting homeschool families. She is a devoted military wife, mom, and believer with over 10 years of education experience. She is a working stay-at-home wife and mom homeschooling her two boys, Nehemiah (6) and Malachi (3) with the support of her husband of 10 years, Terrence. Her family is growing as she is celebrating the arrival of her third son in October 2021. She has a strong passion for homeschool education, building strong families, and discipleship.

NaConda N. Frank
NaConda is the creative owner & mastermind of NACONDA N. FRANK CONSULTING. She is married to her high school sweetheart of over 15 years and they reside with their five children & one dog in Southeast Texas. After realizing her calling to serve other moms like her, she created a space online with her homeschool consulting services where she opened up a tough conversation regarding mental health in the homeschool community.
NaConda, also known as The Homeschool Whisperer, started the “Hope-full Homeschool Movement” where she began sharing her real-life homeschool struggles & successes, as well as providing encouragement for homeschool moms through their homeschool days.
